One step closer to the footlights as City Council votes on a New Performing Arts Centre

Update: On December 1, City Council heard the recommendations of City staff, Revelry Architects, and the Community Task Force on the Performing Arts. View the recommendations, here.

We are thrilled to report that Council voted unanimously to move forward with the Performing Arts Centre!

City staff will now spend the next few months laying the groundwork for development and implementation.

In conjunction with the area’s existing smaller venues, including significant upgrades to the Community Theatre, Kelowna’s Cultural District is evolving into a world class performance hub for the entire region.

How exhilarating it is to see years of hard work and passion move closer to becoming a reality. The Citizens for a New Performing Arts Centre offers our heartiest thanks to everyone involved in this decision. Onwards!
